Resources for Preparing
Some great resources of all types for those who are preparing for potential disaster or are considering it. If we've had business dealings with any of the listed resources then we'll also note our experiences with them, otherwise they're simply things we've found and wanted to collate for our own needs in one place.
Yes there is a reason that firearms are included in this resource list and a reason they're included last. You can't eat bullets. Firearms should be, in our opinion, the last thing you make arrangements to include in your disaster preperations.
If you have reputable sites that you've done business with in the past feel free to send us a comment and we'll check them out and potentially link them here.

Bulk Grains -
Honeyville - Food Products - We've purchased our initial 'let's get this started' supply from them. They ship fast and discreetly. They have a nomimal shipping fee, at the time of this writing it was $4.95 for your whole shipment whether it's one bag of corn or 3,000 lbs of wheat. (Obviously their shipping costs are hidden in the cost of the grains per item but they're no higher than anyone else and lower than most as a result. Highly recommended.
Note: They frequently offer 10% and 20% coupon codes. It behooves you to sign up for them.
Walton Feed - They carry a huge selection of variety and long term disaster issues are going to need variety. You're not going to be happy eating the same few things over and over. No personal experience with them but I've seen them highly rated on the internets. Their prices for many things like bulk grains are equitable to Honeyville once you add the shipping costs. For some of the other things they're higher.

Deyhydrated / Freeze dried -
Augason Farms - They carry everything from single cans to complete one year kits for 40 people. Their prices are good, we ordered the 1 year, 1 person kit as the cheapest way to supplement our builk foods through our local Costco/Sams Club. In shopping around I couldn't come up with 2/3rds the amount in their one year kit for the same money. And the 1 year kit shipped for free and includes a small grain mill suitable as a back up mill of if you just have nothing else. Recommended.

Wheat Mills/Grinders -
Pleasant Hill Grain - They carry tons of grain related stuff at good prices. After a lot of research we recommend the Family Grain Mill (Manual Base) and the Country Living Grain Mill. The first is durable, years of use mill at a reasonable price. The second one is the cadallac of mills. If you can afford it, go with the CLGM. If not then the FGM. Don't risk having a thousand pounds of wheat and no way to grind it in a disaster situation other than putting it between two rocks. The company ships fast and cheaply and their prices are hard to beat. Highly Recommended.

USA Emergency Supply - This is your one stop shop. I've found them to ship quickly and well. They drop ship from various other locations for their bulk (Honeyville) and dehydrated goods and have a minimal tack on fee to do so. If you're looking for a single vendor you could do far worse. Their prices for things like mylar bags and O2 absorbers are the cheapest we found at least on a professional looking web presence. Their mylar and O2 absorbers also ship for one low rate regardless of how much you buy at the time of this writing. Highly recommended.
